DONG Energy shareholder in CT Offshore
OFFSHORE: DONG Energy a 30 % share in CT Offshore, a company founded in 2002 by Paw Cortes, when he saw the opportunity to service wind farm cables. Since then, both the fleet and the organization has expanded significantly.
"It's "business-as-usual" - I will still be CEO and co-owner, the strategy is the same as today, and we will continue to service the solid customer portfolio we have built up over the years. Furthermore, it's been crucial for me to find a co-shareholder with focus on continuing development of the staff and the quality of our services", says Paw Cortes.
The strategy is still to expand CT Offshore's strong market position with a further development of the company's competencies within laying cables. On the basis of an evaluation of the market opportunities and profitability, CT Offshore will also consider the possibilities of expanding the company's capacity.
"With DONG Energy onboard the group of owners, we have the weight we need to ensure the continuing and exciting development of CT Offshore in a fast-growing market", says Cortes.
Most recently, the company has introduced the MV SIA, which is one of CT Offshore's new "cable-flagships". Today, CT Offshore offers a complete range of cable services - from consultancy and expert advice to installation of cables and cable examinations for maintenance.
