DFDS reshuffles North Sea vessels
SHIPPING: To make the most optimal use of our fleet, DFDS will relocate several vessels due to current market demands. Anglia Seaways which has been operating the Rotterdam - Immingham route for several months, will be positioned to the Zeebrugge - Rosyth route.
Consequence Finlandis Seaways will transfer to Cuxhaven-Immingham and replacing Tor Dania, which is going off charter and back to her owner. This change will take effect by the end of April.
The relocation of Anglia Seaways follows weaker than anticipated support noticeably on the Immingham – Rotterdam morning departure.
“Our broad network of 25 routes gives us a high flexibility to relocate vessels whenever needed. Due to this, we can always offer the available capacity that our customers need. By adapting the tonnage on routes from Zeebrugge, Rotterdam and Cuxhaven, we make the most efficient use of our fleet and offer a competitive service”, says Kell Robdrup, Head of BU North Sea.
