Desmi establishes new office in Korea
MARITIME INDUSTRY: Desmi's new office is Busan is situated close to the large shipyards that are building a major part of the world's new ships. Desmi's first sales office, established 2009, is situated in Seoul.
Desmi has hired two Korean employees with lots of experience from the ship-building industry to carry on the plan of strengthening the market position in Korea.
The combination of local knowledge and a global brand will enable Desmi to professionally approach the marine market offering pump solutions and ballast water treatment systems and will ensure Desmi an important market position within a foreseeable future.
"It is important to have a local touch and with our two new colleagues we will be able to better support this important market", says Henrik Mørkholt, Sales Director at DESMI.
The new colleagues have more than 20 years' experience with the marine business - experience that Desmi considers to be an important factor of success. With the new office in Busan the markets for industrial pumps and oil spill recovery equipment will also be in more focus.
