Costa vil rekruttere 4.500 italienere

Costa Group, en del af Carnival Corporation & plc, der er verdens største krydstogtselskab, har planer om at ansætte 4.500 italienske besætningsmedlemmer inden 2022. Carnival bekræfter, at man vil satse på øget indenlandsk engagement, når flåden udvides.

De nye ansættelser vil hovedsageligt ske på nybyggede krydstogtskibe. Costa Group og Carnival har til hensigt, at samarbejde med ét eller flere af Italiens maritime uddannelsesinstitutioner for at skaffe det nødvendige personale. Carnival har allerede over 5.000 italienske besætningsmedlemmer ansat.

Ifølge Costa sejlede rederiets fartøjer med omkring tre millioner passagerer i 2016. Det var en stigning på 13 procent i forhold til 2015. I 2017 forventes yderligere vækst med den officielle lancering af AIDA Perla. AIDA Cruises nye flagskib havde i går sit første anløb af Genova.
