Cosco Shipping har plus på bundlinjen igen

Den kinesiske gigant Cosco Shipping ser positivt på containermarkedet i resten af året og rapporter om et overskud i 1. halvår på 282 mio. dollar, hvilket er på linje med selskabets egne forudsigelser.

Selskabet, der i øjeblikket er i gang med overtagelsen af OOCL, vender dermed et underskud i 1. halvår 2016 på godt 1 mia. dollar til et overskud.

Cosco Shipping fortalte ifølge Reuters investorer, at selskabet ser positivt på efterspørgslen på containermarkedet , men er mere usikker på udbudssiden.

Selskabet planlægger at reducere sine omkostninger med op til 5 pct årligt og regner ikke med flere investeringer på det kortere sigt efter købet af OOCL for 6,3 mia. dollar.
