CMP in agreement with Chinese ports

PORTS: Copenhagen Malmö Port has concluded an exclusive cooperation agreement with the Chinese ports of Shenzen. One of these ports, Yantian, was established in 1994 and is currently the world's fourth largest container port.

"This shows that other markets than the traditional major German one, are ready to be established. Thanks to its geographical position, access to quayside areas, ultra-modern freight terminals and intermodal transport solutions, Malmö is already a distribution centre in Northern Europe for cars and oil etc. And there is further potential to attract other large international companies", says Johan Röstin, CEO of CMP.

CMP will become the 10th global company to conclude an agreement with the ports of Shenzen.

CMP has already concluded agreements with two other Chinese ports: Jiangyin, located north-west of Shanghai, and Hebei in northern China.
