CMA CGM vil erstatte skadet gods

Det franske containerrederi, CMA CGM, meddeler i dag, at man vil markedsføre et nyt produkt, der tilbyder kompensation til kunder for uforudsete skader på gods. Første del i det nye system vil sikre hurtig erstatning for varer, der er beskadiget af en eller anden grund, også naturkatastrofer.

”CMA CGM vil tilbyde et produkt, der dækker omkostninger i tilfælde af skade på en container under håndtering samt andre varer for at kompensere afskibere i tilfælde af manglende betaling fra deres egne kunder”, skriver CMA CGM i en meddelelse.

Selskabet garanterer en tilbagebetaling på op til 100 procent af varernes værdi i løbet af mindre end 30 dage. Ifølge CMA CGM vil der komme andre tilbud i de kommende uger under den nye "SERENITY by CMA CGM" ordning.

Det store franskbaserede containerrederi har 489 fartøjer i sin flåde og transporterede i 2016 15.6 millioner TEU.
