Bjerregaard forlader Rederiforeningen

Efter 21 år som topchef for Danmarks Rederiforening, har administrerende direktør Peter Bjerregaard valgt at trække sig tilbage for at gå på pension. Rederiforeningen er nu på jagt efter en ny direktør.

Den nu 63-årige cand. polit. Peter Bjerregaard kom til Danmarks Rederiforening i 1974 via et job i Finansministeriet. I 1991 overtog han posten som administrerende direktør efter Knud Pontoppidan, der i stedet blev ansat i A.P. Møller-Mærsk.

En af Peter Bjerregaards mest markante bedrifter var etablering af Dansk Internationalt Skibsregister i 1988, som han var drivkraften bag.

Jobbet som ny administrerende direktør er nu slået offentligt op, med Egon Zehnder International som partner i ansættelsesprocessen.

"Danmarks Rederiforening søger en administrerende direktør i forbindelse med et generationsskifte. Foreningens væsentligste opgave er at varetage medlemmernes interesser, samt sikre bedst mulige rammebetingelser i Danmark, EU og internationalt", fremgår det af opslaget, der i tidens ånd kræver en ansøgning forfattet på engelsk.

Forventningen er, at den kommende direktør skal udvise lederskab, skabe synlighed om branchens interesser over for beslutningstagere, medier og befolkning samt at samarbejde med medlemmerne i foreningen.
