Aros Maritime merges with Euroflex
YARDS: The repair yard Aros Maritime and the maritime and industrial company Euroflex are now joined under the name Euroflex. The merging will among other things mean that maintenance of ships in the future can be made at the shipyard and onboard sailing ships.
"By merging the companies we will be even stronger. Aros Maritime Ltd. will get access to skilled labour and Euroflex Ltd. will have a strong home base with workshops, top financial management as well as strong IT and logistics systems. Euroflex Ltd. carries out all kinds of maintenance and repairs of ships sailing across the globe, and this will be improved with the merging", says Arne Pedersen, chair of Euroflex' board.
Aros Maritime Ltd. had in 2007-2008 a gross result of DKK 55.5 million and a pre-tax result of DKK 13.6 million. The gross result at Euroflex Ltd. was 20 million and pre-tax result 8.9 million.
Euroflex Ltd. headquarters is in Aarhus, they have subsidiary companies in Greece, Spain and Hungary and the company has since 1998 carried out projects and delivered employees to shipyards, drilling platforms and other industrial plants such as power plants and refineries.
The three owners Arne Pedersen (chair of the board), Niels Strom (CEO) and Jakob Wilhelmsen (sales manager) will all be active in the company and the ambition is that Euroflex Ltd. in the future will expand even further worldwide, besides the four countries with offices and the approx. 10 countries where projects and tasks are carried out.
