Anglia Seaways on Tour de Europe
SHIPPING: Anglia Seaways has been very busy this year servicing both DFDS own routes and SeaTruck’s routes on the basis of a charter agreement. Orphy Kekus, Captain of Anglia Seaways says:
“Trading on several routes has been challenging and difficult at times. We have had to adjust our procedures and working practices and get to know different ports and new areas. We have travelled through hurricane-strength storms in the Irish Sea, seen some spectacular sunsets in Morecambe Bay and Belfast Lough, passed through the ‘Golden Gates’ of Immingham locks and under the bridges on the Firth of Forth, negotiated the meandering Schelde river en route to Antwerp, fought our way between countless barges in Rotterdam, exer-cised with Search & Rescue (SAR) helicopters, berthed in front of the famous Titanic Belfast museum and have met great people”, Orphy Kekus says.
