Alibaba åbner egen rute til Sydkorea

Den kinesiske e-handels gigant Alibaba vil fremover selv stå for søfragt mellem Kina og Sydkorea. Alibaba har besluttet at chartre skibe og oprettet sin egen skibsrute mellem Shandong provinsen i Kina og Sydkorea, med 6 ugentlige afgange hver vej.

Ifølge Alibaba vil beslutningen om selv at stå for fragten via distributionsselskabet Cainiao Network, reducere Alibabas transportomkostninger mellem de to lande med 30 procent.

Forventninger er at sejladsen kan tilbagelægges på 12 timer, hvilket vil reducere leveringstiden for AliExpress til mellem 3 og 5 dage.

Beslutningen om den nye rute kommer mindre end en måned efter, at Alibaba besluttede at oprette en tilsvarende egen ruten mellem Kina og den amerikanske vestkyst.
