The final large containership from Lindoe
YARDS: The final large container ship expected to be build at Lindoevaerftet, Mathilde Maersk, was on Saturday. The ship is the last of a series of six containerships the shipyard has build for Maersk Line.
Saturday, Lindoevaerftet's latest ship, a 7000 TEU containership for Maersk Line, was named under attendance of among others Nils Smedegaard Andersen, CEO for A. P. Møller - Mærsk.
Matilde Maersk is the final ship in a series of six state of the art containerships build at Lindoe for Maesk Line. And possibly the last large containership to be build at the shipyard, which from now on will be focused on the building of smaller more specialised vessels.
Onboard Mathilde Maersk, an installation for exploration of the engine's excess heat has been installed to optimize the total exploration of the ships produced energy. And to reduce the consumption of fuel and thereby the CO2 outlet, the 12 cylinder Wärtsilä RT-flex head engine has been optimized, so that a more efficient and economic service speed is reached.
The head enging performs 84.000 H.P.
Mathilde Mærsk's home dock is Skagen.
