Maersk Line restructures management
SHIPPING: Maersk Line CFO, Peter Rønnest Andersen, will leave the Maersk Group 19. June after 20 years with the company. In addition to his current role, Jakob Stausholm will assume responsibility for finance and become Chief Strategy, Finance and Transformation Officer.
Peter Rønnest Andersen has had a long and distinguished career in the company since he joined the Group in 1992 as an Economist in Copenhagen. Since this time, Peter has served the Group well in a number of roles in the Group’s businesses, most recently as Chief Financial Officer for Maersk Line. Peter has decided to look for new challenges outside the Group.
Jakob Stausholm, currently Chief of Strategy & Transformation in Maersk Line, brings with him CFO experience from his previous role as Group CFO for global facility provider ISS (2008-2011). Before that, he worked 19 years for Shell in numerous senior finance positions including four CFO assignments in Europe, Latin America and Asia and as Chief Internal Auditor for the group. Jakob has been living and working in The Hague, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, London and Singapore. He is a non-executive member of the board of Statoil ASA, where he chairs the audit committee.
