DFDS secures two big new contracts
SHIPPING: DFDS has entered into new contracts with two leading Continental logistics providers with effect from September 2012. The contracts are expected to add around 260,000 lanemetres of freight annually to DFDS’ two routes out of Vlaardingen.
The new volumes correspond to annual volume growth of around 7% on the two routes – Vlaarding/Felixstowe and Vlaadingen/Immingham.
Freight capacity has recently been reduced on the North Sea market between the UK and Holland as a competing route was closed in August.
