Danish ports gets billions of kroner
PORTS: The cargo transportation sector and the Danish ports will receive a massive lift in the form of a port package. The Danish Parliament will carry out investments, which will ensure better access to ports and improve the circumstances of cargo transport.
A broad constituency of the parties in the parliament have agreed on a transportation deal which will ensure DKK 87 billion to be spend on improvements of the private and public transportation before 2020. Only the party Enhedslisten did not participate in the settlement.
"DKK 94 billion has been added to the Infrastructure Fund, which can be used for investments in infrastructure through 2020. This will be done within the sustainable framework given by the 2015 plan and if we find a sustainable solution later on, additional funds can be given to the fund", says Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Minister of Finance.
