Blue Water profit of EUR 2.7m in 2009
MARITIME SERVICE: The Danish shipping group Blue Water made a profit of EUR 2.7 million and sales of EUR 349 million in 2009. The management says that the result, considering the crisis, is extremely satisfactory.
"Considering the crisis and the fact that costs of EUR 5.3 million where covered in connection with changes to the organization and a large loss from our Faroese activities due to less cargo as a result of salmon disease - the result is extremely satisfactory", says founder Kurt Skov.
As from 31 December 2009, the equity capital amounts to EUR 16.4 million.
"We take an optimistic outlook on the year to come - supported by the Q1 report. Many small signs indicate that we are steering our way out of the crisis and we are acting accordingly", says Kurt Skov.
