Technical Superintendent, Scandinavia
We are seeking a structured and enthusiastic team player in the Svitzer Scandinavia Technical Team, to assist the vessels, the Technical Team and the rest of the Svitzer organisation with technical and administrative support.

You will be based in our local office in Svendborg, Denmark. You will report to the Technical Manager for Scandinavia, based in the cluster office in Gothenburg, Sweden, working closely with all colleagues in the cluster, while being responsible in carrying out your individual tasks.
In this role you will get to experience all that the Scandinavian cluster has to offer, with travel in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, to wherever the vessels, under your supervision, are located. Your role will give you an opportunity to build strong working relationships and give you a chance for professional growth along the way.

In Svitzer Scandinavia we have 30 vessels operating across Denmark, Sweden and Germany. The Technical Team is a strong partner to our crew, and a key in making the operations run efficiently. We are dedicated to keeping our vessels maintained and ready.
Key Responsibilities:
As Technical Superintendent, you will support the technical activities within the Scandinavian cluster and support the M&R of our vessels to ensure maximum up-time. You will be responsible for:
Daily technical support and assistance to vessels and crew
Planning and coordination of maintenance, repairs, dry-dockings and vessel upgrades, through service contractors / vessel crew as appropriate.
Ensuring that vessels are properly maintained and ready to meet the operational requirements of the port and our service commitment to our customers.
Management of the technical budget for the maintenance and dry dockings, including monitoring and control of the costs follow up.
Who are you?
You have a degree in marine engineering / nautical degree or equal education.
You are a collaborative team player who works well together with both onshore and offshore colleagues.
You have marine operational experience including experience in management as a seagoing engineer / nautical, or superintendent is preferred.
You have experience with setting and maintaining financial budgets.
You are fluent in English, verbally and written, as well as proficiency in Swedish and Danish.
You have financial analysis skills and leadership abilities.
You have a talent for numbers and accuracy and ability to perform under pressure and work within deadlines.
You take a professional approach to yard representatives, Class surveyors and Maritime administration personal.
