Maersk Tankers is renowned for our dedicated and professional staff and global career opportunities. An opportunity is now available for a career-minded professional to join us as Technical Superintendent, Maersk Tankers Technical Operations, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Position Reporting to the Fleet Group Manager within Maersk Tankers Technical Operations, you will be responsible to ensure efficient and safe daily technical operations of the Product / Chemical Tanker fleet. Your job responsibilities include:

• Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is regarded as a primary responsibility.

• Manage financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications and dry dockings, whilst ensuring compliance with Industry, Class and International regulations.

• Responsible for maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and modifications to the vessels’ hull and machineries.

• Plan and coordinate inspection and dry docking of the vessels.

• Follow up on the performance of the vessels and arrange corrective actions to be carried out when necessary.

• Ensure that all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag and international requirements are in order.

• Initiate innovations, savings and improvements within the area of responsibility.

• Monitor the quality of all service providers.

• Handling of guarantee issues with regards to new buildings.

• Liaising with the Charterers, Flag State and Port State controls.

The Person

Minimum 1 year experience in Technical Management of Product / Chemical tankers. •

At least 10 years of sailing experience preferably on tanker vessels.

Holding a Class I certificate of competency.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
