Our present Operations Manager in Spain will transfer to other tasks within our company
and the Wind Logistics department of Blue Water therefore wish to hire a new Operations Manager.
As our Operations Manager you will be responsible for the operations in Spain from our office in La Coruna.
The tasks in a busy and exciting work day will be to:• Supervise the work of our various agents and stevedores • Manage a small team of very dedicated operational employees • Calculate offers for local transportation and port operations • Negotiate with local subcontractors • Act as Supercargo for vessel loading operations
• Ensure HSSEQ rules are followed
Your qualifications: We are looking for a person with a background in relevant project/wind freight forwarding tasks. Furthermore you have the following characteristics: • A relevant education within freight forwarding or a maritime background • A team player who also can work independently and be self motivated • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills • Fluent in English – both written and spoken, knowledge of Spanish and Danish will be an advantage
The position will start with a training period in our headquarter
in Denmark followed by a training period together with the present Operations Manager in La Coruna.
