Kina vil bevare sin høje markedsandel

Kina vil kæmpe for at bevare sin nuværende markedsandel på 40 procent af skibsbygningsindustrien gennem de næste fem år, og for at slå sin position fast. Det siger formanden for den kinesiske værftsindustri, Zhang Guangqin, til China Daily.

Efter finanskrisen, hvor efterspørgslen langsomt er steget, har Kina overhalet Sydkorea på listen over globale skibsbyggernationer.

Men Kina halter stadig bagefter Sydkorea og Japan når det gælder teknologi, og de kinesiske værfter har længe haft et ry for at være billige og hurtige – men ikke særligt avancerede.

De kinesiske værfter vil i fremtiden blive udsat for en stærkere international konkurrence når det gælder teknologi og standarder for skibsbygning, siger Zhang Guangqin.

Det vil tvinge Kina til selv at investere mere i teknologi og udvikling af avancerede skibe.
